In by 9AM, gone by 10:15! No drugs so this turned into a regular visit of sorts and I was thoroughly impressed by how professional, respectful and it all included a sense of humor. The stuffed, plush dinosaur butt on the wall is a riot. Thank you all for a very stress free experience. 🙂

Dr. Solan is professional, kind and understanding and listens to what you have to say. He is a unicorn when it comes to doctors. He made my colonoscopy easy and went over the results of it and my sitz marker test that day. I have nothing but respect for this doctor.

thank you

M. Bianchi ACNP reviewed procedures thoroughly, answered questions thoughtfully and offered suggestions. I agree the chilled blue sports drinks and Miralax were a good combo to cleanse the system. Dr. Teng and his nursing staff @ Portland Ave location set me at ease with soft humor and warm bed side manor.

I had a colonoscopy today with Dr. O'Neill. I am a male, was there on time and they brought me in on time. I was met by Heather, a registered nurse who set me up with blood pressure check and an IV. Answered any questions I had and she told me that another registered nurse, Colleen, would be bringing me into the procedure room in 10 minutes, and she was there in 10 minutes, wheeled me into the room and Dr O'Neill was there within 2 minutes. We decided to go ahead without sedation, which turned out to be just fine. Dr. O'Neill was very good, professional, humorous, and very knowledgeable. Colleen was at my other side making sure I was in comfort, checking blood pressure, helping to move me around a little. I would recommend having this done without the medication (at ""Rochester Colon Rectal"") Believe me, your mind thinks this is a lot worse than it is. There is not much discomfort at all, I felt very secure with this personnel in the room. I got done, Colleen rolled me back into the ready room, Heather disconnected me from the IV, I put my clothes back on and walked out. I will end this review by saying that this experience could not have gone smoother, just like a medical TV show without the drama. Professional and personal from start to finish. I will definitely be recommending Rochester Colon Rectal to every person who asks me.

Dr. O'Neill seems to have a large proportion of females in her practice. For any males looking for a Colon & Rectal Specialist, I would highly recommend her and her entire staff. They go out of their way to make a person feel relaxed, comfortable and welcome. My advice? If possible, ask to do the procedure without sedation. It is only mildly uncomfortable for a very short period of time and there are no worrisome side effects or need to stay long. I was in and out of the office in a very short period of time.
